Getting Started

Welcome to PromptVault! Let's get you up and running in just a few minutes.

1. Create Your Account

Start by signing up for a free account. No credit card required for the 14-day trial.

1. Visit promptvault.me/signup 2. Enter your email and create a password 3. Verify your email address 4. You're ready to go!

Email Verification

Check your spam folder if you don't see the verification email within a few minutes. You can request a new verification email from the login page.

2. Create Your First Prompt

Once you're logged in, creating your first prompt is simple:

  1. Click the + New Prompt button (or press Cmd/Ctrl + N)
  2. Give your prompt a descriptive title
  3. Enter your prompt content
  4. Add a category and tags for organization
  5. Click Save

Pro Tip

Use keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow! Press ? anywhere in the app to see all available shortcuts.

3. Understanding Categories and Tags

Categories and tags help you organize and find your prompts quickly:

  • Categories: High-level groupings like "Development", "Marketing", "Writing"
  • Tags: Specific keywords like "react", "email-campaign", "blog-post"
  • Auto-Categorization (PRO): AI suggests categories based on your content

4. Search and Filter

Find your prompts instantly using our powerful search:

  • Use the search bar at the top (or press Cmd/Ctrl + K)
  • Filter by category using the dropdown
  • Search by title, content, or tags
  • Results appear instantly as you type

Templates

Templates help you create consistent, reusable prompts with customizable variables.

Creating a Template

  1. Navigate to the Templates section
  2. Click Create Template
  3. Add variables using double curly braces: {{variable_name}}
  4. Define default values and descriptions for each variable
  5. Save your template

Using a Template

  1. Find your template in the Templates section
  2. Click Use Template
  3. Fill in the variable values
